I am a Bedouin Guide from the Wadi Rum desert. I was born and raised in the desert, which helped me to
become experienced in the desert and in Bedouin cultures. I start working as a tourist guide in 1985 - when
tourists first started to visit the Wadi Rum. My father still lives as a real Bedouin in a Bedouin tent in the
desert. I spent the first twenty years of my life living in the desert, and travelling from one place to another has
helped me to get to know all of the mountains and learn the paths to the top of them.

I started this company with few of my cousins, all of whom are experienced Bedouin guides who can help you
to explore the Wadi Rum By JEEP, HIKING, SCRAMBLING, CAMPING, CAMELS, TREKKING and more!

This website contains all of the information that you will need in the Wadi Rum, as well as information about
the different trips we offer in the desert. Should any guest prefer to do different programmes they are
welcome to send us an email outlining their preferences and we will arrange the programme for them.

We had three main reasons for starting this company:

1)         I love the Wadi Rum desert more than any other place in the world and I want to work here forever.

2)         We want to offer our visitors more interesting tours, allowing them to stay more than one day and taking
them deep into the Wadi Rum.

3)         We wish to help our Bedouin community through employing more than eight guides from our tribe.

We usually take our guests to the tourist sites which are highlighted in the Wadi Rum map. However, we
believe that the Wadi Rum is beautiful due to its magical landscape, and so we offer more time in remote
places with no other tourists, to help them to discover the silence of the desert.

We are proud that we are Bedouin, and proud to help our visitors discover our Bedouin culture by telling them
stories from our grandfathers, many stories about coffee, Bedouin weddings, Bedouin law and Bedouin food.
We will also tell our guests interesting stories about our Al Zalabeyh Tribe and others, and will be ready to
answer any question about the Bedouins.

The prices that we give for the tours cover all costs for the trip. A supplement may be charged if you wish to
include activities not mentioned in the trip's description.

Tour By Jeep (Day In Wadi Rum)

This tour starts at your
convenience, but we generally
advise that arrival should be around
10am at the latest to enhance your
experience. We start by picking
you up at the Wadi Rum Visitor
centre in our Jeep, and run through
the formalities of the entrance fee
(2JD) and then drive 7km to the
Rum village. At this point we will
stop of for some refreshments

(Bedouin tea or coffee) and a map of the Rum desert will be given and the itinerary for the day will be
explained.

In this tour the majority of the most magnificent sites of the Rum landscape will be explored. You will travel
with the tour guide to each destination in the Jeep, through the rocky desert landscape where the history and
relevance of the site will be revealed. Then you will have a chance to explore that site on foot before we move
to the next point of interest. And if you’re feeling up to it exploration might require you to climb up mountains.
This tour is for those people who want to fully appreciate all the different types of landscape that the Rum has
to offer and has the option of physically exerting themselves to obtain a more hands on experience. The
following sites within Wadi Rum will be visited:

•           Nabatean Temple

•           Lawrence’s Spring

•           Kazali Canyon

•           Little Bridge

•           Um Froth rock Bridge

•           Burdah Rock Bridge

Lunch: It is the location above that we will stop to have lunch and tea before the expedition carries on any
further.

•           Burrah Canyon: this one of the marvels of the Rum Valley. This 6km long canyon is an amazing place for
hiking and we recommend that you should take full advantage of it. Here you have the option to hike across
the canyon which is predominately in the shade and takes up to an hour and half.

•           Lawrence’s House

•           Anfashieh Rock Inscription (Thamudic and Nabataen Rock painting)

•           The Sand Dunes: a stop is made for those who wish to climb the huge sand dunes, not to be done by the
faint hearted.

•           The Sunset: after the long day tiresome day we will take you to an area known for its beauty as the sun sets.
Here you can watch the sky changing color and how it affects the landscape, a tranquil serene end to an
action packed day.

These are the sites that will be visited in this expedition. At the end of the day we will return back to the Rum
village..

The price for this will:

-           Less than 2 people: 45JD per person

-           More than 2 people: 35JD per person

Tour by Camel (One Day)

We start by picking you up at theWadi Rum Visitor centre, and runthrough the formalities of the
entrance fee (2JD) and then drive7km to the Rum village. At thispoint we will stop of for some
refreshments (Bedouin tea orcoffee) and a map of the Rum desert will be given and the itinerary for the day will be

explained.

For this expedition each person will have their own camel and the guide will also have his own camel. The
camels have been very well trained to obey commands and will be fairly reticent and easy to ride.

Obviously because of the mode of transport, we limit the number of sites to the most important, beautiful and
breath taking. The whole experience of camel back riding through the sandy deserts of Wadi Rum again is a
unique experience. The following sites within Wadi Rum will be visited:

•           Lawrence’s Spring

•           Khazali Canyon

•           Little Rock Bridge

Lunch: It is the location above that we will stop to have lunch and tea before the expedition carries on any
further.

•           Lawrence’s House

•           Anfashieh Inscription (Thamudic and Nabataen Rock painting )

•           The Sand Dune Area: a stop is made for those who wish to climb the huge sand dunes, not to be done by
the faint hearted.

•           The Sunset: after the long day tiresome day we will take you to an area known for its beauty as the sun sets.
Here you can watch the sky changing color and how it affects the landscape, a tranquil serene end to an
action packed day.

The price for this will 50 JD person and addition amount should be payed for the Guide’s camel (this
is price is split equally amonst all the tourists)

One Day Hiking & Scrambling To (Rakebat Canyon & Um Rashid Canyon)

We start by picking you up at the Wadi Rum Visitor, and run through the formalities of the entrance fee

(2JD) and then drive 7km to the Rum village. At this point we will
stop of for some refreshments (Bedouin tea or coffee) and a map of the Rum desert will be given and
the itinerary for the day will be explained.

Hiking stats from the Rum village and we will process 2km due east to the Rakebat Canyon. This Canyon is
one of the easiest scrambles and takes approximately 2hours to cross to the other side (Wadi Um Ishrin).
The canyon links to us to two large mountains both Jebel Ansraneh and Jebel Um Ishrin. Before we actually
process to these mountain scrambles we will stop to have lunch and tradition Bedouin tea and continue our
journey once all are rested up. In the afternoon our adventure will continue through to Wadi Um Ishrin and to
the enormous hot sand dunes. And if you are still feeling as though you can tackle these sand dunes in the
blistering heat then you will have the chance to climb them. Following your exploits her we will hike on to the
Anfashieh inscription and then walk through the long narrow steep sided Um Rashed Canyon to a quiet little
place in which you can observe the beauty of the sun setting over The Rum valley. Our fine hike takes us
back to the village.

The price will be:

2 - 3 people 60 JD per person
4 or more people 45 JD per person.
