We believe that the Wadi Rum is beautiful due to its magical landscape, and so we offer more time in remote places with no other tourists, to help them to discover the silence of the desert, and will be ready to answer any question about the Bedouins. If you are planning a trip to Wadi Rum and would like to know more about our life style, please do not hesitate to contact me by clicking on the contact us link. We will share with you the very best of Bedouin life in our village and in the desert.
Going by jeep is the easiest and fastest way to visit the desert. We have open and closed jeeps and you also can sit on top of the roof if you want. The driver goes slow to give you time to enjoy the most and he stops whenever you want. At each site we visit you will have time to walk around, climb, take photos and in some places even to have a tea. We offer tours of a few hours up to several days. The time shown is the maximum time of each tour. You will visit all the sites but if you want to finish faster you can do it. The tours start at any time you want. If you stay over night and arrive late you also can do the tour the next morning after breakfast.
2-hours Jeep tour with overnight
From the village of Wadi Rum we'll go to visit the Nabataean Temple. Thamudic and Kufic rock art cover the area surrounding the temple. The temple was erected around the first century BC, and the Latin inscription on the altar depicts that the temple was used until the first half of the third century. After leaving the Nabataean Temple we will drive to Lawrence Spring with a short stop. Following this we will climb the Red Sand Dunes. Here a large group of sand has piled up against the mountains. It's fun to climb to the top and run down. We'll have 20 minutes in this area, before moving to the next site, Khazali Canyon where you can walk inside to see the inscriptions. Then we'll go to the camp where you can put you things in your tent, take a shower, and sip Bedouin tea before viewing the setting sun at gorgeous Al Ghuroub. If you arrive at the camp early you may walk to this site or take a leisurely hike in the area.
The next day after breakfast, we'll drive you back to Rum Village, or you can ride a camel back to town. (25 JD per camel).
If you arrive in Wadi Rum late in the afternoon, you can alternatively take your tour the next morning after breakfast.
