     We are a group of highly qualified guides, specialising in climbing, who decided to run a family business, remaining close to the Bedouin spirit and traditional values. You will not only appreciate the spectacular landscape of Wadi Rum, but also our culture, and the famous Bedouin hospitality.

Sabah

 

My name is Sabah Atayek Aid, I am a bedouin from the tribe of Zalabieh. I am 53 years old, and I have always lived in the desert. I grew up in Wadi Rum before the setting of the village. I have spent my whole life walking on the Bedouins Roads, hunting the ibex. I really know the desert “like my pocket”, and I love it deeply.

 

When Wilfried Colonna and Tony Howard first came in Wadi Rum in the 1980’s, we became friends, and I showed them dozens of Bedouins Roads (one of them, that I opened in Jebel Khazali, is called after me “Sabah’s Road”). We opened together many climbing roads. I am the first Bedouin guide of Wadi Rum ever.

 

I was the first to go to England to be trained as a mountain guide.

 

I have 2 licences climbing guide and rescue in the mountain

 

Climbing in the mountains is still my passion, and I will be your guide specifically for Climbing, Scrambling on Bedouin Roads.

 

Musalam

 

I am a Bedouin from the tribe of Zalabieh, the eldest son of Sabah. I am 33 years old. I was born in the desert and have always lived here.

 

 

 

I have been working with the tourists for more than 15 years, and I still enjoy sharing my culture with them. I speak good English, and will even surprise you with a few words of your language, that I learned from other tourists! I love to tell stories at night, around the fire, after a good diner. I can talk for hours about our traditions, our life and culture.

 

I am also a good climber, up to 5+, and I know all the Bedouin Roads. I went to the French Alps a few years ago, where I practised climbing for 1 month.

 

I will be your guide specialised in Camel tours, Jeep tours, Bedouin Roads, Climbing, Bedouin camp organisation.

 

Selim

 

I am a Bedouin from the tribe of Zalabieh, second son of Sabah. I am 29 years old. I grew up in the desert, like all my family.

 

I have been working with the tourists for years, always with the same pleasure.

 

I am specialised in Jeep tours, Camel tours, Hiking, Scrambling on Bedouin Roads, Bedouin camp organisation.

 

Suleman

 

I am a Bedouin from the tribe of Zalabieh, son of Sabah. I am 26 years old. I grew up in the desert, I know it very well, and I am deeply attached to it.

 

I have been working with the tourists for more than 10 years, with a lot of big agencies for France, Belgium, Germany, etc. Now, I am the director of our family company. I speak English well, and will be pleased to help you take the best of your experience here in Wadi Rum desert.

I am the youngest brother of the family. I am 21 years old, and as my brothers, I love living and working in the desert. I have 3 camels of my own, that I feed and take care of. I love them, and I am sure you will too.
